La Esperanza Vineyard and Winery
La Esperanza Vineyar d and Winery
At La Esperanza Vineyard and Winery, we offer a little bit of wine with a lot of heart. David and Esperanza Gurule, owners/vintners, inherited the land and original structures from Esperanza's moth er, Anton ia Orosco. The land was homesteaded by Antonia's father, D on Anto nio De La O in 1906. With Antonia's blessing, David and Esperanza started growing grapevi nes in 1998 with the help of their three childre n, Carrie, Patricia an d Pa ul. Antonia's only request was that it be named afte r he r o nly dau ghte r, Esperanza. Esperanza means hope, to dream, to aspi re. Experience for yourself the living dream of making magical connections with family, friends and community all throug h pla nting, h arvesting, winemaking and winetasting activities. All th e while keeping An to nia's an d Don Antonio's loving and radiant spirits alive. Maybe they are the reason for these magical connec tions . We do not provide food but we encourage you to br ing snacks, or a picnic lunch to enjoy with you r wine . Visit us soon and enjoy a picnic lunch with some Merlo t or you r favorite wines (and maybe even meet Merlot the cat). Following lunch en joy a st roll and let Mimbreno Lizards be you r tou r guide .
