At La Esperanza Vineyard and Winery, we offer a little bit of wine with a lot of heart. David and Esperanza Gurule, owners/vintners, inherited theland and original structures from Esperanza's mother, Antonia Orosco. The land was homesteaded by Antonia's father, Don Antonio De La O in 1906. With Antonia's blessing, David and Esperanza started growing grapevines in 1998 with the help of their three children, Carrie, Patricia and Paul. Antonia's only request was that it be named after her only daughter, Esperanza. Esperanza means hope, to dream, to aspire.Experience for yourself the living dream of making magical connections with family, friends and community all through planting, harvesting, winemaking and winetasting activities. All the while keeping Antonia's and Don Antonio's loving and radiant spirits alive. Maybe they are thereason for these magical connections. We do not provide food but we encourage you to bring snacks, or a picnic lunch to enjoy with your wine.Visit us soon and enjoy a picnic lunch with some Merlot or your favorite wines (and maybe even meet Merlot the cat).
